The simplest definition of location photography is when you actually go to where your chosen subject is rather than the subject coming to you for studio work. Location photography can be further broken down by dissecting your subject such as : seaside > beach > sea > pier > people > shells > ice cream > fun .....and so the list goes on but you get the general idea. In fact you can continue to analyse the finer details that make up the bigger picture until your head hurts, or you run out of memory cards.....which is one of the reasons I always try and remember to carry one more memory card than I think I'll need plus a couple of paracetamol.
Unfortunately, being a late starter in the group, I wasn't present the day they all mashed heads and came up with a spider diagram to simplify what I've just been talking about but they were good enough to let me use a copy on my blog, so here it is.
